It is a great honor for me to receive this prestigious award. Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of working at both CSIRO and the Chinese Academy of Sciences and being mentored, supported, and inspired by many individuals. Here I just list some of them. I would like to express my warmest thanks to my supervisor, Prof. Changming Liu, to late Dr. Ray Leuning, and to Drs. Francis Chiew, Lu Zhang, David Post, Jai Vaze, and all my team members, among others. Without their help, guidance, and encouragement, I would not be where I am today.

I also want to express my deepest gratitude to my wife Jie, my daughter Carol, and my son Max. Their unwavering love and support have been my source of strength and perseverance through both good times and bad.
