Editing and publishing is an essential function of GSC. For over the past decades, GSC has been dedicated to promoting the development of geography journals. Currently 18 academic journals (4 in English) and 1 magazine (Chinese National Geography) have been published under the auspices of the Geographical Society of China and its branch organizations. Among the journals, 2 are indexed by SCI and 2 by EI.
